Life-giving learning programs

Carefully crafted curriculum and expert clinical oversight.

Our clinical leaders help to bring about progress in the lives of their learners by developing an individualized curriculum, which is implemented by a highly trained Registered Behavior Technician in a highly motivating, play-based environment using best practices in ABA. Highly trained Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) design and oversee your child’s curriculum, supervise the technician, and provide parent training and coaching to help you stay prepared and equipped to navigate all the challenges and opportunities in raising a child with autism. Your child’s curriculum will be designed to target those essential life-giving skills such as communication, social and emotional awareness, play, cognition, self-care, motor skills, and more!

Our Programs

Focused In-Home

15-30Hrs/Wk | Specific Learning Goals

In-home programs are unique in that there are more caregiver opportunities to collaborate, receive training, and apply ABA therapy strategies to help the learner through everyday challenges that arise in the home. While therapy goals might look the same between in-home and center-based programs, being in the home offers a unique therapeutic context given that's where the learner likely spends most of their time.

Focused Center-Based

15-30Hrs/Wk | Specific Learning Goals

Center-based programs might be more accessible to parents who work and need a solution other than in-home therapy. Most sessions are 1:1 with a therapist and your child, but there are also opportunities to participate in small group instruction and socialization with peers. Maraca centers are a really rich and engaging setting to receieve ABA therapy!

Telehealth ABA Therapy

Hours Vary | Focused or Comprehensive

Telehealth options might be helpful in situations where parents cannot commute to one of our Learning Centers, or when they prefer to work 1:1 with their child with coaching in real-time via videoconference. Benefits often include increased accessibility to ABA therapy, decreased travel times and costs, and increased caregiver confidence and efficacy.

Comparing Focused & Comprehensive

Focused: Therapy is provided directly to the learner to address a limited number of behaviors or skills associated with symptoms of autism. For example, social skills, or functional skills such as teeth brushing and toileting. The intensity of therapy varies between 15 and 30 hours per week depending on the nature of the behaviors and other considerations, individualized to the learner. For example, social skills such as initiating play and turn taking with age-matched peers may warrant lower intensity therapy than challenging behaviors that put the learner or their caregivers at risk of harm, such as self-injurious behavior or aggression. Targeting challenging behaviors for reduction includes targeting adaptive alternative behaviors to be developed and strengthened to promote the learner’s health, safety, and overall functioning. Focused ABA therapy is more likely to be implemented in home and community settings directly in the contexts where the learner can benefit most. For example, during bath time, at bedtime, during play dates, at the grocery store, or special events at the local library.

Comprehensive: Therapy is provided directly to the learner to address multiple affected developmental domains and symptoms of autism. For example, social skills, cognition, communication, play, independence, self-care, and more. Between 30 and 40 hours of therapy per week is often the intensity needed to produce meaningful improvements in quality of life through changes in many different behaviors (e.g., hundreds) or skills targeted across domains. These aspects of comprehensive ABA therapy are based on research showing that the largest improvements are the result of high-intensity ABA therapy. However, the intensity of therapy is individualized to the learner’s characteristics and additional factors such as medical necessity, chronological age, history of ABA therapy, and more.

We’ve also learned, after decades of experience, that parents who reciprocate this level of commitment to ABA are typically those that experience the most benefit of receiving these services. It’s a lot of work to receive ABA treatment, so here’s what we ask of you in this process so that your expectations are set and we’re all aligned and ready to climb that mountain together!
